CELTIC & SCOTS LANGUAGES 'EUROVISION' returns to Inverness for 2009

Inverness has been selected as the location in 2009 for a European song competition aimed at Celtic, Scots and other minority languages.

Gaelic Innovation Rewarded

The Western Isles and Gaelic language were recognised for innovation at the recent UHI Business Idea Competition 2008, which was hosted by Inverness College UHI. The first ever Gaelic karaoke DVD, developed and produced by Murray International Language Centre (MILC) in partnership with Pròiseact nan Ealan (PnE), was awarded third place in the Most Innovative Idea category for the Over 26’s.

Young Musicians blaze a festive Ceilidh Trail

Following another hugely successful ceilidh trail throughout the Cairngorm National Park this summer the 8 young musicians take to the road again over the festive period performing a concert in Kingussie on Sunday 28th December 2008 at Talla Nan Ros.
