Auditions call for Nicolson Gaelic Musical
Nicolson Institute school pupils are to be inspired and motivated by a new Gaelic musical production due to take place at the school’s annual Christmas concert. Plans are currently well underway for the event which is the first of it’s kind and a pilot for a larger production next year. The project, which is overseen by the school, Proiseact nan Ealan and Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, has produced a script written by pupils during workshops with scriptwriter Chrisella Ross with a school audience in mind. The exciting script features various characters, dilemmas and a dramatic twist, all which contribute to giving the project a strong foundation for which to lift off.
Aspiring actors, singers and dancers are being offered the opportunity to audition for roles in the musical which are yet to be cast. The auditions are open to all 3rd – 6th year pupils off the Nicolson Institute and are due to take place in An Lanntair’s Community Arts Room on Thursday 16th September between 4-6pm and then again between 7-9pm.
