Piping Live! is back!

With a very successful launch at the end of May our website is now chock full of all the fun and exciting events that are happening during Piping Live! this year.

There is an extended pipe band programme in George Square from 11am til 4pm, "Music of the Clans" events in the marquee in George Square looking at famous families and their piping history everyday, the Family Fun Day makes its return on Tuesday 11th, Pipe Idol, Street Cafe, Recitals at lunchtime and much, much more. We are pleased to have events at the College of Piping for the first time, with the workshops being held there each day.

Also a highlight will be the World Premiere of "On The Day" Movie at the Glasgow Film Theatre. This is the Story of the Spirit of Scotland Pipe Band from the Worlds 2008. This is at 5.30pm on Friday 14th August.

As well as this we have a spectacular array of evening events with the Friday night seeing Fred Morrison, Paddy Keenan and Homebound perform, Tuesday is the Quartets with a plethora of international pipe band talent including World Champions Simon Fraser University and Wednesday is a special Homecoming Scotland concert called "Battlelines to Barlines - the musical pulse of Scotland's History" by Allan MacDonald and featuring many great musicians.
